One of the most recognisable names of British design, Betty Jackson, is set to take a year off from this September's London Fashion Week.

After decades leading British fashion, working with such legends like Ossie Clark in the 70s, studying under Zandra Rhodes at the Birmingham College of Art and, perhaps her greatest achievement, designing the outfits for Eddy and Patsy on Absolutely Fabulous, Jackson is closing her London boutique. However, she explained that she will continue to design her Debenhams diffusion range, announcing:

"We are not closing the company, and I am definitely not retiring."

I'm sorry, Ms Jackson, I didn't mean to doubt yoooooo - etc etc.

Have a great holiday!

  • Like Lilly Allen then... nothing to do with the recession or anything.
