Cue the Boot theme...

In the build-up to the next month's catwalk shows (LFW starts 16 Sept), there have been some horrors happening on the style front - like the Glee cast covering David Bowie's Fashion - *shudders*, but what about on the red carpet? Well, there has been some good. And bad, obviously.

You probably haven't heard of Lake Bell unless you've seen some terrible films called No Strings Attached or What Happens In Vegas. Even if you have had the misfortune of seeing either of those films, you'd probably just think 'there's a girl with a very big mouth, she must be amazing at blow-jobs. God, this film is shit'. Whatever, here she is looking pretty hot in a Cushnie et Ochs (that's not an iPhone predictive text typo) 'fetish' dress at a film called Good Old Fashioned Orgy. What's she trying to tell us?

We've also got someone you've definitely heard of, unfortunately - Peaches Geldof, although you might not recognise her body because it's turned into a lollypop stick. A lollypop stick in an Alberta Ferretti dress. She looks like one of Rachel Zoe's clients circa mid-noughties.

At the same One Day premiere, we have Anne Hathaway in Alexander McQueen, getting Kate Middleton comparisons for that reason alone - no imagination. We like the look, though, it's always nice to see some ankles on the red carpet. The brown pumps are a little 'sexy secretary' though.

Simply so we can express our utter distain that she's showing at New York Fashion Week, we have Avril Lavigne and her stupid holey tights, because she's, like, such a s8er dude, boi. Oh just go away. Also, her tattoo looks like a track-mark.

Little Boots also features... The midi-dress trend doesn't work on some people and sadly she's one of them. Then there's Zoe Saldana wearing a bit of everything, and Fashion Police presenter Kelly Osbourne looking a bit manish in a Manish Arora dress. Yep, still thin.

We're going to award best dressed to Rose Byrne we think. It's a lovely Dolce & Gabbana dress and she's pretty. Well done, Rose!
