Yes, yes, yes, we know that Samantha Cameron/Michelle Obama/Kate Middleton like Erdem, but so do lots of other much more fashionable folk (Michelle Williams looked awesome in one of his dresses earlier this month), so don't be put off. In fact, everyone's favourite bespectacled Canadian print master has offered up a whole lot more than the florals his name has become synonymous with for the season ahead. Honestly, can you imagine SamCam in a sheer black lace? Don't even try, actually... Our point is that he's branching out of his country garden and we're embracing it...

While staying true to his floral roots [no more garden puns - ED], Erdem Moralioglu's AW 2012 collection unveils a darker side with moodier shades of purple and acid lime. We've still got shifts, pencil skirts, twin sets and shell tops, but we also have skinny cigarette pants, mannish sweaters and even leather. 

Talking about the collection, he said:

"It is my sense of what it takes to be a lady, a look back to 1960’s couture but with a tweed coat layered with Latex and bonded fabrics."

Out with the duchesse (satin)!
