The Preen by Thorton Bregazzi fall 2012 fashion show at New York Fashion Week
Catwalk report
Tue, 14/02/2012 - 17:14 by BeccaDPA distinctly 60’s-flavoured offering from Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi, the Preen A/W ’12 collection focuses on soft snowy whites and sooty blacks with pops of colour from almost neon coral to just-olive green.
Preen is always exciting, because it is a label that does colour, and does it well. This collection is practically faultless, its patched-together dresses made up of different prints and textures have an ease to them that belies their engineered construction, and the slightly exaggerated pencil skirt is an amazing central piece to many of the looks. We even quite like the bright orange faux fur, though we wouldn’t attempt to style it out on the high street.
We’re also seriously taken with the knitwear on offer here: luxe intarsia knits that echo the corset belts of the new Herve Leger collection, and a spectacular botanical motif.
Another great Preen collection.
