They grew up to become the Playboy twins

Ah, Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield taught us so much - what bangs, barrettes and split-level houses were, and that twins don't necessary start their period on the same day. Could've been worse, they could've been miserable vampires. Plus The Unicorns definitely paved the way for Mean Girls' Plastics - Regina George owes everything to Lila Fowler.

Despite the fact that Francine Pascal's book series was already adapted into a TV series in the 90s (didn't the Jessica one ended up going out with Dawson Leery and being the secret sister of Jen Linley?), a big screen version is in the making, with Juno's Diablo Cody taking directing duties. Talking about the project, she said:

"I want it to be wonderfully nostalgic. I want it to be to the '80s what American Graffiti was to the [early] '60s.

"I want it to be looking back on a really cool time and enjoying yourself and I want it to be glamorous and colourful and bubblegum and a feast for the senses. That's my plan."

Jessica's going to rehab, obviously. Didn't she suck-off Johnny Buck in one book? Slut. Can someone do a new film adaptation of Forever next please?
