Skyfall. That's the name of the new Bond film, according to an announcement today. It will be the 23rd of the series and Daniel Craig's third. There's probably some kind of conspiracy in those numbers somewhere, but since we here at HM have either severe dyscalculia or extreme stupidity (seriously, even private doctors are baffled) we'll let you figure it out.

Anyway, alongside Daniel Craig as Bond, Judi Dench returns as M, Bérénice Marlohe is the new Bond girl Severin and Naomi Harris plays a fellow agent called Eve. Albert Finney, Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes have also been announced, although their actual roles are yet to be confirmed.

Directed by Sam Mendes, Skyfall is set to come out in British cinemas on October 26th 2012 and in the US on November 9th.
