Tom Hardy at the This Means War premiere
But what does it really mean?
Tue, 31/01/2012 - 13:06 by Gemma ExleyWhat means war? War Horse wrapped in barbed wire in the trenches? Yes, sometimes, although Tom Hardy and Chris Pine on the battlefield of love can also mean war. It's a mean war, this kind of war.
So, epic emotional war drama This Means War sees two top CIA operatives wage an epic battle against one another after they discover they are dating the same woman. The men are Chris Pine and Tom Hardy and the woman is Reese Witherspoon. You might think that the title of the film should be This Means Whore, but it's okay to date multiple partners in America - just so long as you're not 'going steady'.
Anyway, the battle for Reese' pieces sees Tom Hardy jumping from skyscraper to skyscraper whilst Chris Pine fires weapons. It seems like a bit of an over-reaction, but Reese's lovin' spoon is very special.
We strongly suspect this is based on a true story, although there's no way of confirming since CIA agents are always so cagey.
