Apparently these pictures from the set of the new Superman film, Man of Steel, have been around for a while but since we'd only seen a few of them we thought you probably had as well, so here they are.

While the photos seem to have been taken with a daguerreotype from the moon, you can make out a few supposedly telling details, like the fact Superman has decided to remove his outside pants and just let his package bulge through the famous blue onesie. We can only assume this is because he's a) a different Superman from the one we know b) a badly made clone or c) his pants will be put on via the magic of CGI. Maybe Henry Cavill was scaring children with a badly packaged undercarriage. Who knows.

Also in the pictures you can see a woman in a leather outfit. According to reports this is Antje Traue as Faora, one of Superman's enemies and General Zod's best pal. Black leather's always such a giveaway for evil characters isn't it? You can probably thank the Gestapo for that.

Finally, motion capture guy. We can only assume he's going to be Zod, or at least the Zod bits that Michael Shannon isn't doing. Possibly not, but then again, who really knows what goes on in the head of Motion Capture Man. Not us.
