More guns, less navel-gazing

Bobcat Goldthwait's last film was the hilariously mislabelled 'black comedy' World's Greatest Dad, a film that was seemingly made for two reasons, a) to prove that Robin Williams wasn't culturally irrelevant and b) to make people who were expecting to laugh, seriously miserable. It did reasonably well at both.

His newest effort God Bless America looks to be in a similar vein, and with such a jolly trailer and an upbeat backing track, how can we not have fun? Bobcat knows how. That's not to say we we're not really keen to see it, there's nothing better than a Falling Down-esque film when it's done well, but we're certainly not expecting anything along the lines of what this trailer seems to be suggesting.
