Paul Gascoigne has been warned that he could be jailed after he admitted driving while more than four times over the legal alcohol limit.

The 43-year-old former England star admitted drink-driving at a hearing at Newcastle Magistrates' Court on Tuesday. The judge heard that Gascoigne had 142mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath when he was stopped in Jesmond on 8 October (the legal limit is 35mg).

Gazza will be sentenced on 11 November after the preparation of probation reports. The judge said that all options "up to and including a custodial sentence" were open for the troubled former football genius.

In other news, EVERY national newspaper has Gascoigne's obituary written and ready to go. Sad but true. I mean, look at the state of him - he's skin and bones, he looks a full 15 years older than his real age, his liver must be fucked. Poor bloke.
