This is what it looks like, slick
After some technical difficulties, here it is
Wed, 07/12/2011 - 17:43 by Peter MeehanAfter running into some technical issues, Xbox users had to wait a couple of hours extra before they got the chance to see how Microsoft had revolutionised the Xbox 360 dashboard menu. It's got Windows 7 phone connectivity, Bing voice searches and...wait for it...LoveFilm and YouTube.
Exciting stuff right?
Yes, yes it is. The whole dashboard layout now resembles the Windows 7 phone interface as well as the new Windows 8, which will be arriving on PCs at some point before the end of time.
So it looks all pretty, and now, as well as the controller, you can navigate the menus using the Kinect's motion control and voice command, which is means you have even more chances to wave your arms around unnecessarily.
A cloud storage system for saving files and Xbox Live passwords has been introduced, so they can be played on any console without the having to break out the trusty memory card. Replacing the 'My Xbox' section is the new 'social' section to make life more exciting/fun/social, where you can arrange games and share achievements on Facebook. Marvellous.
Here's what you can look forward to arriving on the dashboard soon:
