Mariah Carey's new film - but don't let that put you off

Despite it starring Mariah Carey (who could forget the Razzie Award winning Glitter?), her new film Precious, in which she plays a social worker, is supposed to be quite good. In fact, the film based on the book Push by Sapphire, has already already received rave reviews when it was screened at the Sundance Film Festival, going on to win both the Audience Award and the Grand Jury Prize for best drama. It had it's second screening at Cannes Film Festival yesterday, with co-stars Lenny Kravitz, Gabourey Sidibe, Paula Patton and Mariah Carey gracing the soggy red carpet.
