When you've got a good game idea, you best hold onto it, because people will be thinking of ways to cash in on the idea with similar versions of that game. This week we have Ragdoll Blaster 3, which is, in no way similar to Angry Birds; Real Football 2012, which is in not a FIFA knock-off; Rogue Racing, which is in no way the same as Need for Speed and Infected, which is similar to every single zombie/tower defence game ever.

Ragdoll Blaster 3 - iPhone/iPad
A physics-puzzler that's not largely dissimilar to Angry Birds, except that instead of flinging angered birds, it's ragdolls. It has over 100 levels to keep you in ragdoll blasting action

Real Football 2012 - Anroid/iPhone/iPad
Returning for its 2012 incarnation, Real Football 2012 has fully licensed players and kits which means it's virtually a FIFA clone. This version has emphasis firmly on community, with a host of different websites and forums to interact with friends

Time Ducks - iPhone/iPad
It's like Frogger, but with a host of different animals, where you choose the path for your animal across roads without getting them run over by increasing speed cars. The action should keep you entertained for whole minutes.

Infected - Android/iPhone/iPad
You say there's not enough zombie games on phones? That can't be right, there always seems to be new zombie games coming out. Oh well, to remedy that, here's another! Infected has you in New York setting your defences and slaying zombies, just like the rest of them.

Rogue Racing iPhone/iPad
If you don't like games like Gran Turismo and Need for Speed, but want to play a game exactly the same game, have a look at Rogue Racing. It has 'awesome 3D graphics' and 'intense, dynamic gameplay', so that's reassuring.

Anomaly Warzone Earth - Android
Tower Defence games run the show when it comes to app games, but Anomaly Warzone Earth flips the idea on its head. Instead of defending your towers from attack, you're attacking the towers. Talk about headfuck.

Osmos - Android/iPhone/iPad
To alter a famous phrase into one much less exciting: 'in space, no-one can hear you absorb'. Osmos is a space-based game where you control a galactic mote (a tiny piece of substance) and must absorb smaller organisms to grow, but don't let yourself get absorbed by bigger ones!
