It's day 2 of the lovely Nicola Roberts' stint as Holy Moly's guest blogger. She's not hungover this time, but she is staying up late with Cheryl and Kimberley, and hanging out with Kelis, Naomi Campbell and Alan Titchmarsh...

I didn’t know what day it was today. It’s probably a good thing, so I didn’t let that Monday feeling creep in.

So, where were we? Sunday evening I had a rushed dinner at The Wolsely, which was lovely. I had halibut and vegetables.

Then I went to the Topshop Unique show and sat next to Kelis; we share the same DJ. It was nice to see her; she’s so lovely. The clothes at the show were amazing. It was everything from sporty stuff to really glamorous stuff, so it was really across the board - something for all the girls out there.

Naomi Campbell was at the show. For me she’s the ultimate supermodel, she’s absolutely breathtakingly beautiful - and even more so in the flesh.

After the show I went to Kimberley’s and she cooked for us – little nibbles. And me, Kimberley & Cheryl had a little catch-up, which was really good. That was the picture I posted yesterday. We wanted to take a proper picture but some of the girls were in their trackies with their hair up, so we thought: ‘what can we do? Hide our faces, that’s a good idea.’ We didn’t leave there till about two o’clock in the morning. And then I had to be up at 7am for Alan Titchmarsh, Nice.

I'm on Daybreak again soon, which is a 4am pickup. And I did BBC Breakfast, which is a 4:30 wake up call. I’m not averse to a middle of the night call time, ten years after this all started!

Alan was great. I performed Lucky Day on the show, and I pre-recorded Yo-Yo, which is gonna go out in November. I absolutely love performing Yo-Yo, it’s my favourite one to do. Yo-Yo was supposed to be the first single; it was the first single in my mind for a long time. But then at the last minute it felt right to go with Beat Of My Drum. So I feel really close to Yo-Yo. I feel like I lose myself when I’m performing it.

The production’s incredible. The beat is just so constant and powerful. That was the first song that I wrote with Dimitri and Maya. I felt like I’d found my sound. And I was kind of looking at it like an outfit. So it was, ‘if this was an outfit, what would this song need now?’ So we had the pretty dress, which was the chorus. We had the lovely shoes, which was the verse. ‘But what do we need to really set this song off? A big, fancy, bow in the hair would really set this song off.’ So when I got to the middle eight I wanted to go really erratic, almost like taTu on All The Things She Said. I wanted it to be proper fucked up and crazy – hands in the air.

I feel really close to it. It’s one of the first songs I wrote, and I’m really proud of it.

Anyway, right now I’m about to go to Shoreditch House because we’ve got the album listening party for some of the fans. So I’m a bit like, what are they gonna think? What if they walk out? Slightly nerve racking. I wonder if they have a preconception of what it’s gonna be like? We shall find out…
