Steel Panther - Balls Out
We ask, what’s wrong with being sexy?
Wed, 25/01/2012 - 11:55 by Tim ChippingNews reaches us (we read it in The Guardian) that the hardest rocking band in the world, and close personal friends of HM, Steel Panther have had the posters for their new album Balls Out banned for being “overtly sexual”, after the Advertising Standards Authority received four complaints that most definitely didn’t come from the band’s record label or PR company in an attempt to drum up some publicity.
Here at Holy Moly we are strongly against censorship so please click on the above picture to see the full offending artwork.
Steel Panther’s record label Universal have issued a statement saying the image is designed to: "poke fun at the ridiculousness of the attitude to women, outfits and music in that era".
We don’t know what that means. But watch our recent interview with Michael Starr and Stix Zadinia and ask yourselves if these are men who could possibly be disrespectful to women?
The answer will be no.
