We first tipped Kami Thompson as one-to-watch over four years ago. Finger on the pulse as always. She’s taken an absolute age to finally release her debut album Love Lies. We don’t know why, but it’s out now so let’s not dwell on the past.

You may have heard her singing backing vocals on records by Martha Wainwright and those of her family members Teddy, Richard and Linda Thompson. But here she is on her own (well, guitarist James Walbourne is there too but you know what we mean) reminding us why we told you to look out for her, all those years ago.
