Here's a model of Amy Winehouse, painstakingly constructed out of tens of thousands of pieces of Lego by this sinister looking chap (who you wouldn't want to bump into in a dark alleyway late at night) at a shopping centre in Croydon ...

Creator Craig Stevens made the statue of the singer out of 12,500 pieces of Lego to mark Croydon Fashion Festival.

He said:

The Amy Winehouse Sculpture was constructed with only six days notice but despite the hurried building that I did, I was happy with the result. Normally I would spend two weeks on a Lego bust alone. There was a competition to guess the number of pieces in Lego Amy. It's actually made from over 12,500 pieces and probably weighs more than the real Amy Winehouse.

It must weigh at least 4st then...
