It seems that Britney is being about as sane and reasonable in her sober days as she was when she was on the grog. The singer has apparently insisted on a blanket ban on alcohol in all backstage areas she might happen upon for her residency at the O2.
A venue source told The Sun: "Following her problems with alcohol, Britney had requested that everywhere backstage is alcohol free.
"Her family is monitoring the situation very carefully and we've been made to sign contracts promising not to drink or allow any of the VIP guests to have alcohol in any of the backstage areas that Britney could use.
"It is very important to Britney that she doesn't see anybody drinking in her presence."
Is she fearing that even a fleeting glimpse of a Bacardi Breezer could send her reaching for the nearest hair clippers and umbrella?
