Bubbles banned from Michael Jackson's funeral

With all the talk about who fathered Michael's children and what's going to happen to them, we have been neglecting to worry about what's going to become of the real victim of this tragedy: Michael's chimp bubbles.

The 26-year-old chimp is being kept under lock and key 3,000 miles away in Florida and apparently hasn't even been told of his master's demise. How could they...

And to add insult to simian injury he will not be invited to Michael's funeral this weekend, which is being moved from Neverland to a normal cemetery after they realised you're not allowed to burry people anywhere you want.

Bubbles (pictured with Michael and an unnamed llama in 1984) will apparently be played "calming flute music" on the day of the funeral .

A spokesman for the Centre For Great Apes, where he is staying, said: "It is sad for Bubbles but it is better that he stays here.

"There has been no invitation for him to attend the funeral. Maybe we'll mark the occasion another way."
