Coronation Street is set for a hefty cull of its cast, with the news that Wiki, Darryl and Amber (among others) will disappear from the Street, whilst Kirk's future is also decidedly rocky...

Shocked actors Wanda Opalinska, Jonathan Dixon and Nikki Patel (pictured below) were told earlier this week their contracts would not be renewed.

Andrew Whyment, who plays popular character Kirk, has been put on a short-term contract as they can't commit to anything more in the current climate.
