It's only taken her two years, but well done to Chantelle Houghton for finally realising that what she had with Preston on 'Celebrity' Big Brother 2006 might not actually have been real love at all and all a fabrication for the media. How people thought she had less brainpower than a mentally retarded saugsage we'll never known.

Yes, brainy old Chantelle (just look at the expression of desperation and fear on her orange face above) has revealed that she thinks Preston was just with her for the publicity - as if anyone who sold their souls to reality TV would be so shallow.

 

She opined: "I think maybe he just went out with me because of what was going on around us at the time."

 

Hmm, yeah, maybe…

 

"It was weird on our wedding day," she added. "He was pulling silly faces when we took our vows. He took the pee."

 

Better than taking 'a' pee though, eh?

 

"After he told me he never wanted to marry me, we did interviews where we told everyone about happy we were.

 

"I lied about being happy."

 

Tsk.

 

And in further revelations, the former Paris Hilton lookalike has let on where she's setting her sights now, not very high.

 

"I might not be the brightest star in heaven, but I could be bigger than Jade (Goody)."

 

In this time of recession and revised expectations, I think we can all learn something from that.
