Temper temper, Christopher. After being cautioned a couple of years ago for an incident in a Nottingham curry house, the 62-year-old 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' presenter was arrested at his Surrey home early this morning after a domestic dispute was reported.

Chris has been playing the field for the last couple of years since having to fork out £12m to his ex wife Ingrid, so no one is sure who the woman involved was, although he is known to be seeing legal assistant Jane Bird, 46 (pictured above).

 

A Surrey Police spokesman said: "Police officers attended an address in Esher at 12.58am on Thursday March 5 following reports of a domestic dispute.

 

"A man in his sixties was arrested on suspicion of assault and taken to Staines Police Station. He was later released without any further action being taken."

 

A spokesman for the presenter said today: "We have no further comment other than to say that Mr Tarrant was released without charge."

 

It is not known whether police questioning him were able to refrain from asking: "Is that your final answer?" etc etc.
