Beneath all the smouldering intensity and icy glares, Daniel Craig is actually a whirling cosmos of giggles, intent on providing fun and enjoyment for all around him and never happier than when causing others to crack up with laughter and squirting them with water from a fake flower in his lapel. He's really, really funny you see.

This might sound like the most unbelievable Bond plot of all time - "Now Bond, all you have to do is defuse the nuclear missile, kill the villain and then crack a smile and piss your pants, is that clear?" - but no, this is the view of Liev Schrieber, Craig's co-star in the new movie 'Defiance'. Schreiber told a clearly-disbelieving 'Entertainment Tonight':

 

"We had a lot of fun, which was important because what we were doing was really quite sombre. Daniel Craig is far more entertaining and just downright goofy than I think most people think he is, and that's a result of that Bond thing he's doing."

 

Not at all, that whole goofy thing comes across in everything he does. There's the 'icy goofy', the 'miserable goofy' and the plain old 'what-the-fuck-am-I-doing-here-I'm-better-than-all-this goofy' that we've all witnessed.

 

Liev, star of 'Scream', 'Scream 2', 'Scream 3' and the awful remake of 'The Omen' must be right. With that movie pedigree it's clear that his judgement has always been spot on.
