Tonsorial laughing stock Jon Bon Jovi is preparing to celebrate his 20th wedding anniversary to 'high school sweetheart' Dorothea Hurley (pictured scowling at him above).

In the crazy world of rock 'n' roll, it's hard to hold down a relationship for more than five minutes, so kudos to Mr Bon Jovi for staying the distance. Especially considering that in their backcombed prime in the 1980s, "the Jovi" must have been throat-deep in bras, knickers, boob tubes, blouses, high-heels and tights. Maybe that's where they got their wardrobe tips from for the 'Slippery When Wet' tour.

So, what's the secret to his success? Well, it is down to fear, he claims. He asserts that he is terrified of his missus and that is what has kept the marriage on an even keel.

There are a few celebrities today who are probably looking on enviously and wishing their wives ruled them with a rod of angry iron. Like Mel Gibson. Or, more accurately, Mel Gibson's accountant.
