Never let it be said that Joseph Jackson lets opportunity pass him by. Reports suggest that Joe is attempting to persuade his grandchildren to forge a musical career 0 under his steely gaze of course.

Now that he's had his fill of promoting his blu-ray record label (whatever the fuck that means) he has moved on to a far richer vein of promotion - his grandkids.

He is apparently shaping up Michael's three children to become a modern day equivalent of the Jackson 5, the family band he ruled over with an iron fist in the sixties.

The Sun quote Ian Halperin, who wrote Jackson's biography, as saying:

"Joe wants the children to go on a world tour in 2010. He has also... offered recording contracts to two of Michael's kids. Now he is talking about getting them the world's best backing band and taking them on tour as The Jackson 3."

Michael used to speak of beatings he received from Joe during his formulative years and many believe his treatment was a direct influence on the somewhat "strange" behaviour and self-loathing. This could be the reason many members of the family are completely against this clearly fucking ridiculous idea.
