Kill Bill actor David Carradine has been found dead in a Bangkok hotel room, having hanged himself in a wardrobe.

Thai police have said that the actor, 72, was found hanging in a closet on Thursday after crew on his latest film became worried when he failed to turn up for dinner on Wednesday night.

He was said to have been half naked when found by the maid and to have used rope from a curtain to hang himself.

Police investigation showed that he hung himself with a rope, the kind that is used with curtains.

As well as playing Bill in the Kill Bill films, the actor was known for 1970s drama 'Kung Fu'.

EDIT: His manager is saying that it was "100 percent" definitely not suicide so it looks like some sort of accidental death during "a sex act" was the most likely cause.
