Gay, straight or bisexual - why anyone would find escaped laboratory chimp Liam Gallagher attractive really is a stumper. It seems, however, that there are plenty of same-sex admirers out there who really get turned on by the whole inability-to-say-'sunshine'-in-less-than-eight-seconds thing, hence Liam's appearance in a poll of male celebrities most desired by gay men.

What with his profile being raised by the release of a new album (well, 'new' in the figurative sense) and the fighting-with-fans onstage antics of his brother, Liam's fresh spell in the limelight has clearly seen him attracting a lot of approving glances. Presumably from people who are also wearing earplugs.

 

The poll, commissioned by gay-PARSHIP, runs as follows:

Hmmm. Looking at the first two results alone, you've got to wonder whether a significant chunk of the voter base also had jobs in the PR department for the upcoming Sherlock Holmes movie. Promoting the star status of Law and Downey like this would certainly be a new slant on viral marketing, after all. Face it - it'd certainly beat advertising to Guy Ritchie's usual audience of nineteen year old Wetherspoons barmen, every last one of whom is called something like Daz, Gaz, Baz, Spud or Shithead.

 

And who - ironically - are also all big Oasis fans.
