Cannon and Haul

Nick Cannon, the man who fell in love and married Mariah Carey for her sheer personality, realises that some cynics out there might class him as someone content to live in the shadow of his wife's glories and watch the cash roll into his account. To give him his credit (and he's getting plenty), he isn't remotely bothered and has tens of millions of reasons as to why such accusations won't be getting him down.

The man-who-can't-smile-wide-enough was asked by Extra how he felt when people pointed out that he was a kept man to a more famous wife.

"My heart goes out to my wife every time she has to hear something like that. I don't care about nothing, I'm just silly. I make fun of me all the time, I'm like, 'Call meMr. Carey, who cares?'"

I'd imagine you could call him a lot worse and he wouldn't be bothered, turning the other cheek in order to buy another Lamborghini. Let's face it, even if the marriage ended tomorrow (God forbid) then Nick would still be set for life, able to afford as many big golden crowns and swan sandwiches as he desires. Or as Nick philosophically pits it,

"I'm blessed to have a partner that's truly one of those people that affect the world."

In that she has the income of a small to medium-sized country, a percentage of which is being channelled straight into Nick's bank account. No prizes for guessing who wins the 'Biggest Shit-Eating Grin of the Year' award for 2009.
