Michael Jackson never wanted to play 50 dates in London

Michael Jackson has spoken out about his forthcoming residency at the O2 in London and he isn't happy. Speaking to fans outside Burbank Studios, Jacko suggested he only ever wanted to play ten dates... Nice.

The Sun claims he only learned of the extra 40 dates on the news... The nutbag said:

"Thank you for your love and support, I want you guys to know I love you very much.

"I don't know how I'm going to do 50 shows. I'm not a big eater - I need to put some weight on.

"I'm really angry with them booking me up to do 50 shows. I only wanted to do 10, and take the tour around the world to other cities, not 50 in one place.

"I went to bed knowing I sold ten dates, and woke up to the news I was booked to do 50."

Now bear in mind that he's already postponed four of the first ten dates, meaning if he'd had his way he'd be doing less than a week's worth.

The more I hear about this, the more I'm convinced it is going to be a disaster. An expensive disaster full of ace magic tricks but a disaster nonetheless.

If it's any consolation - I would be willing to step in and play the other dates at the O2 for him instead - subject to contract of course.
