We Can Talk It Out
Fri, 30/01/2009 - 01:00 by chrisns
It's clear from this clip that Paul McCartney does possess a sense of humour, and how he's needed one over the last few years. Here, he is interviewed by the sublime Stephen Colbert for 'The Colbert report', the Emmy Award-winning topical comedy show. Despite a series of tough questions he gives some remarkably deadpan answers to such searching questions as 'Who is your favourite Beatle?' and 'What's your beef with beef?'
Paul also confesses that he wouldn't mind being eaten by the Dalai Lama, as long as it was an emergency situation, so fair play to Paul for not being as up himself as most people expected, and certainly not as precious as his more talented band-mate Ringo Starr. It's a fairly long clip but well worth the effort.
Sadly, excellent though he is, Colbert fails to ask the killer question on everyone's lips, namely 'Who does your hair colour and what were they thinking?'
