In news that will shock and amaze you - Pete Doherty is back on the drugs. The cheeky scamp was arrested after being found slumped in a toilet on a British Airways flight to Geneva.

Whilst it hasn't been confirmed that drugs were involved, a hypodermic needle was found. So, erm, unless Pete has suddenly become a diabetic it's looking like a sneaky hit of heroin was the order of the day.

The fierce, unforgiving fist of the Swiss law pounded down on Doherty and he was made to pay a small fine and sent on his way (Would the same have happened if it had been a cigarette?)

A spokesman for Switzerland said:

“We were contacted by the captain of a BA flight and a passenger was controlled by police. He was charged — but I cannot say what with. He paid a fine and was allowed to go.”

He said all that whilst winking furiously and doing that mime thing were people who don't take drugs pat their arm like Mary from Eastenders used to.

A spokesman for Pete declined to comment, mainly because it was a piece of paper with a giraffe wearing a trilby scribbled on it.
