Congratulations to the genius at MTV who decided to follow Pete Doherty around every hour of the day and record what he gets up to.

MTV are boasting that they have 'unlimited access' to the life of the greatest tortured artist of our generation, and what a boast that is, as the clip below illustrates.

 

 

This appears to be the highlight of 'Pete Doherty in 24 Hours' as the grimy skeleton with a pot-belly puts on a funny voice, does a cartwheel and then a funny walk. Sheer genius from a comedy legend. Believe it or not, this clip only lasts thirty seconds, though watching it the seconds appear to be wearing lead diving boots. Impressive stuff, but it could be improved if you remove the sound and just play the theme tune to 'Steptoe and Son' over the top.
