The War On Terror-Erra-Erra

You can accuse singer Rihanna of being a lot of things. Dull, trite, repetitive and overplayed are just a few that spring to mind, but financially supporting the war in Gaza? It's not the first thing that you think of when you hear 'Umbrella', is it?

Well, the Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party think that the singer isn't just obsessed with her hair and make-up, she's also helping to keep the occupants of the Gaza Strip downtrodden.

The party (PAS) have already managed to get a Beyonce concert cancelled and have campaigned against Madonna and Avril Lavigne playing in their country (so they've obviously got some taste and sense of proportion), but are the latest accusations a bit…over the top? The PAS spokesman claimed that the planned concert was,

"Akin to insulting Eastern culture, belittling local artistes, internationally causing losses to the country's economy and supporting Israel's war policy, which is supported by America."

Now if he'd just said it'd be a right fucking din he'd have support from all over the globe, but Kamaruzaman Mohamad (crazy name, etc) wasn't done there with the Rihanna-baiting.

"Whether Rihanna realises it or not, we know that the taxes she has paid also contributed to the war in Gaza."

Maybe it's too late to point out that in the decadent Western culture stars try to pay as little in the way of taxes as possible? Or maybe Wesley Snipes is a massive hero to the PAS?
