Diesel Fitter

Vin Diesel, the incredible Alpha male fuelled by testosterone and lavender has been dropped by his PR company after he failed to show up for press interviews to promote his latest film.

You see, he was feeling a bit poorly and had to pull a sickie, despite the fact that he was supposed to be trying to sell his new movie 'Fast & Furious 4' to a procession of journalists who were even less excited by the dreadful sequel than the actor himself.

You can barely blame Vin for not wishing to promote the movie. After all, it's a fairly obvious backwards step in his already-on-life-support career to be returning for episode four of a series, especially as he was too important for the second and third instalments. It'll be 'The Pacifier II' next, you mark my words.

So, as interviewers sat twiddling their thumbs last Sunday, waiting for Vin to sit there and tell them about how vital the film was and how the after reading the script he felt that it was a part he simply HAD to play, several frantic PR people had their mobile phones approaching meltdown in an attempt to locate the missing star. The New York Post report,

"No one could get a hold of him. He didn't pick up his phone and it wasn't until a Universal executive called that he finally picked up and used the lame excuse, 'I'm sick.' Diesel finally showed up four hours late and 'didn't look sick. But he did do a couple hours of press.'"

What a miraculous recovery! The end result being that his publicists 42 West have now confirmed that they will no longer represent him. Nice move, but bearing in mind Vin's career trajectory it's not like the PR firm have taken a massive risk in ditching an actor whose next big role will probably be selling the US equivalent of 'Cillit Bang'.
