Our best wishes go out to Winona Ryder who was taken ill on a flight from LA to London yesterday. The star was pictured looking unwell before checking in at LAX, though that might be her normal skin tone as she always looks like she'd be quite at home draped over a mortician's slab. The actress now officially more famous for shoplifting than acting began to feel unwell on the plane and upon landing was rushed to Hillingdon Hospital in West London.

According to her spokesman: "She did fall ill on a flight and as a precautionary measure, was taken to a hospital. She was there maybe an hour and was released. The bottom line is she is in good health."

 

Not the best advert for the catering on British Airways perhaps?

 

"The captain of BA282, which was travelling from LA to Heathrow, requested a priority landing as a female passenger required medical attention."

 

Why so coy - surely it's something to boast about? She didn't die after all. Oh to be an airline pilot on a day like that! 'Ladies and gentlemen we are currently cruising at 32,000 feet and a major Hollywood star is vomiting all over the back of the seat in front and stealing as many sick bags as she can lay her hands on. Air crew, check your pockets before landing. Have a pleasant flight.'

 

Get well soon, Winona. Oh, it looks like you have. Must be one of those 24-hour bugs. Or something.

 

Edit: It's now being reported that Winona accidentally overdosed on prescribed Xanax pills, as she has a fear of flying. Silly Winona...
