Which singer sang to empty chairs?
Tue, 25/11/2008 - 00:00 by chrisns
Poor Andy Abraham... The former X Factor contestant who was once the Nation's favourite singing dustbin man, failed to pull in the crowds when he peformed at Worthing Town hall (as tumbleweed blew in the background and a lot of old people sat close to the front).
Andy couldn't even use the fact he once sang in the Eurovision song contest to sell any more than 120 ticketsout of a possible 900 and was even forced to reduce the tickets to £22.00 (£22.00 after a reduction?! And is he not aware of the credit crunch?) and later resorted to a two for one deal (but people who paid the full price were not refunded).
Don't worry Andy, we're sure it's just a matter of bad timing, what with Christmas and the recession and er, the fact we'd forgotten you ever existed.
