Pretty Gumming

There have been rumours abounding for years that Julia Roberts and Richard Gere would re-unite for 'Pretty Woman 2', though quite how you could carry on that marvellous love story is hard to say, without Julia's character discovering the joys of heroin and having her teeth rot and fall out.

Sadly, it is not to be, because Julia believes that at 41 she is far too old to play a prostitute. She should spend ten minutes around here - they're virtual trainees at that age in these parts. Julia seemed to find the whole concept hilarious, giggling...

"No one wants to see an old hooker! Do they?"

Feel free to insert your own Heather Mills joke at this point.

Leave 'Pretty Woman' alone. How could you improve on the integrity and gritty plotline of the first instalment? It gave prostitutes everywhere a glimpse of what might happen, even if they'd already sucked more pipes than a roomful of Popeyes. The incredible documentary-style feel of the original film gave whores everywhere the hope that one day their prince would come. Then pay over the odds for 'extras'.
