Famous from the age of 12, Britney Spears has had every moment of her public life (and a lot of her private life) caught in the incessant flashbulb explosions of the paparazzi. Now, at the age of 26, she's finally kicking back like an angry pop mule.

She is uploading a clip onto her website every week of a member of the baying photographic horde who chase her making a fool of themselves. The so-called 'paparazzie' award will go to the shutterbug who most gets her goat that week. The first clip shows a photographer falling over backwards as he tries to snap her (captioned "This photographer eats some dirt while trying to get a shot of Britney").

Some stars have tried to confront their camera-wielding poachers face-to-face (see the infamous clip of mechanically-reclaimed singer Cher getting off her motorbike to challenge a photographer or the footage of lukewarm funkateer trying to bully a snapper and getting bashed in the nose). Often times these moment backfire as there are a hundred other photographers there to capture the argument. But this gives Britney (for the first time) editorial control over how this is presented, which is a delicious irony she is clearly savouring.

Obviously Holy Moly! took a stand against overly-aggressive paparazzi and their pictures last year. And she has a new album out next month (coincidence alert!), but good on her, the game lass.
