Damon Albarn has revealed his biggest hint yet that the band may be getting back together, eschewing the no-way attitude of recent years in favour of telling the BBC, "it's very possible I'll go back to Blur."

No word as yet from the other members of the band - Alex James was too busy driving around in a tractor humming 'The Farmer Wants A Wife', Dave Rowntree was stood by the B section in HMV desperately trying to get recognised, and Graham Coxon has been a busy beaver helping out shambling oxygen-thief Pete Doherty on his upcoming solo album. You can even see a clip of the pair larking around. Look:

It's also unknown what musical direction the band will take if they do get back together, although given the styles they've all honed since - Coxon acting as a one-man Pavement tribute act and Albarn scribbling down operas about monkeys - there's the potential for it to be kind of interesting.

Still - they're going to have face some stiff competition from their old rivals. We hear that new Oasis album is revolutionary.*

*No we don't.
