Reports are coming in that one of Britney Spears' sons has been rushed to hospital after suffering a suspected seizure.

Toddler Jayden James is believed to have fallen ill on Sunday night while he was visiting his mother's family in Kentwood, Louisiana.

 

After her son collapsed, Britney called an ambulance but was told it might take up to half an hour to arrive. As a result, the whole family sped 25 miles to the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Centre.

 

There doctors were not able to immediately diagnose the problem and Jayden James is being held over night for observation.

 

Britney apparently refused to leave her son's side and asked to stay in the next bed. Ex-husband Kevin Federline is also thought to be heading from Los Angeles to be with Jayden.

 

The weekend was the first that Britney had been allowed to take her two sons out of California since losing custody of them in July.
