Lie kissed a girl?
Tue, 18/11/2008 - 00:00 by chrisnsSo, Katy, when you say it was 'written' about Scarlett, do you mean that YOU wrote it all on your own for her? Or do you mean that you 'wrote' some of it after it was knocked into shape by Dr Luke, Max Martin and Cathy Dennis? Is this a classic case of "write a word, take a third" in which acts negotiate a cut of a song's publishing royalties before they record it? It's not for us to decide.
But however much of the song Katy wrote, she shouldn't be ashamed. Some of the greatest artists of all time didn't write their own hits. We're thinking of people like Frank Sinatra, Elvis and Stephen Gately.
Or maybe she just sees her songs like her very-real-and-not-a-cheap-marketing-gimmick 'bisexuality' - i.e. something that concepts such as reality shouldn't be allowed to undermine.
