So the dust has settled and the BBC Trust has decided that Jonathan Ross won't face any further punishment for his role in the whole Russell Brand phone prank disaster. Possibly they looked at how Sachs and his granddaughter were milking the whole tawdry affair for all it was worth and remembered that only two people complained in the first place. Idiots...

The Trust said it was all a "deplorable intrusion" into the private lives of Sachs and granddaughter Georgina Baillie saying that there was no "editorial justification" - especially as it wasn't even funny.

But how you can invade the privacy of a woman who makes her living as part of the Satanic Sluts is beyond us.

BBC Trust Chairman Sir Michael Lyons said: "We have underlined very clearly that it is not the job of the Trust to make decisions about the terms and conditions of performers or the sanctions that are applied to them when they are found to be wanting.

"We are very clear that the director general has taken the right action with respect to Jonathan Ross."

So, Brand and Ross get welcome new kudos for being risqué, the Slut gets paid a bit more to get her knockers out, Sachs gets a Coronation Street gig and the Daily Hate gets its sales boosted.

What a fucking waste of time. As you were.
