Better never than late

Good old Lily Allen - who needs the news to keep you up to date or John Snow to unfurl the complexities of the modern world when lovable cockney plonker Lily is there to use her piercing insights to set the world to rights. If you can't wait till Lily's new album is out next February then here are some of the highlights - including Lil having a pop at George Bush, a good month after he'll have left office...

On the highly-dreaded forthcoming second album, 'It's Not Me, It's You' out in February, Lily sings on the imaginatively titled 'Fuck You':

"Do you get a little kick out of being small-minded/You want to be like your father, it's approval you're after/Do you really enjoy living a life that's so hateful?"

Yeah, you stick it to the man, girl! If we all join together we can show the world what a bad man George Bush is and if we're lucky and everyone hears your song, then we can force him out of office and make a change - YES WE CAN.

Oh...

But if you imagine Lily is standing in front of the mirror singing the lyrics to herself it's actually quite perceptive.
