Samantha Ronson's career on the up after hooking up with Lindsay Lohan

Why it only seems like yesterday that she was getting £750 a night (though she had a cheek for charging this as she just shows up and puts on a Jive Bunny LP). Obviously though people are now recognising her talent as she commands £12,500 a night (reportedly pulling up to £2m last year), and that's because she's a brilliant entertainer and nothing to do with the fact she's bumping nasties with Lindsay Lohan. Oh no.

The New York Daily news has "a source" who reckons the geniuses who run clubs have realised that if you book Samantha then there's a good chance of Lindsay turning up to their venue and sitting there moodily looking at her nails while her partner plays both sides (hey, she's great value for money) of the Jive Bunny album.

However one of Sam's friends (and they must be many, no?) has hit back and says Sam has never been reliant on her relationship with Lindsay to make money. No, she's always been reliant on her relationship with her brother to make money.

"She's always had money, and relied more on Mark for getting gigs booked. In fact, Sam made Lindsay hot again!"

Well she does do that moody look over the decks - it's enough to get anyone a little excited. It's a fact that sleeping with Lindsay Lohan clearly makes you into a better DJ. Maybe Chris Moyles could give it a go. There must be something that can help him...
