In a 'no holds barred' (trans: heavily PR-ed) cover interview with Vogue, Cheryl Cole has stated that husband Ashley has learned to keep his todger in his shorts.

He was accused of having a fling with hairdresser Aimee Walton last year. Quite why he would want to sleep with someone who looked like Jimmy Hill in drag is not clear, but anyway he'll not do it again. Promise.

 

Cheryl admitted news of his affair was "horrendous" (so was the person he had the affair with, but she didn't say that). However it was, in Cheryl's mind, excusable as a result of Ashley's 'immaturity'. "Look, Ashley's young," she said, "and he's got a young mentality for his age anyway." Ashley Cole is 28.

 

She's the new nation's sweetheart and, with her 'frank' and 'open' interviews about her husband's infidelity, her insecurities and her weight issues, she could become 'the new Diana'.

 

Umm… Maybe she'd like to rethink that.
