Tue, 27/01/2009 - 00:00 by chrisnsThe indie comic's awards take place on February 25 but it should be pointed out that Oasis released their first single in 1994. That's 15 years ago this April which makes the band older than most of the NME's readers.
That would be fine if the band constantly pushed the envelope and took music into thrilling new places with the release of every album. Except they have basically treated their career like a drink of Kia-Ora, constantly pouring water into the glass to the point where there is hardly any trace of orange left.
We are stuck with them like the turd that just won't flush. Maybe we need to lobby the government to get all music banned to erase the chance of the Gallagher brothers ever playing another note again. This might seem harsh, but it's for the greater good of humanity. Trust us.
