As the singer's conservator, Jamie is in charge of all finances relating to the star, meaning she can't spend a penny (probably literally) without informing daddy dearest. For the role of looking out for his daughter (a role most fathers generously perform for free) Jamie has been awarded by the courts the sum of $16,000 of Britney's money every single month.
Is he grateful? No, not really, whining that he spends between sixty and seventy hours per week in the role, and deals with between 200 and 400 queries and decisions a day, or about one every two minutes. Even though most decision will be along the lines of 'Britney is asking for a book on juggling and a chainsaw - yes or no?' Jamie still has been telling the courts that he is so vewwy, vewwy busy, citing his role in arranging,
"Medical, health, business, costuming, personal, security, household staff, and legal matters (touching upon entertainment, music, family law litigation, the resolution of numerous disputes, and the ongoing litigation and conservatorship matters."
And anyone who has managed people before will know exactly what's coming next, after someone details a list of the onerous tasks that they perform well. Those immortal words 'Can I have a pay rise please?'
