Footballer Ashley Cole was arrested in the early hours of this morning for being drunk and disorderly (and a total bellend). According to reports, the Chelsea player started swearing at police and was taken down the nick to sober up.
The 28-year-old, married to Cheryl Cole, was arrested as he left Collection nightclub in South Kensington, after being offensive to police officers and apparently refusing to shut-up. He was issued with an £80 penalty fine and was allowed to leave the police station three hours later.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "We can confirm a 28-year-old man was arrested at approximately 2.15am in Brompton Road on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.
"He was taken to a central London police station where he was issued with a fixed penalty notice for being drunk and disorderly and released shortly after 5.30am."
Meanwhile, his wife continues to climp up Mount Kilimanjaro for charity. Isn't she a lucky girl?
