She hates the internet, you see. Or rather she hates the "dehumanising" effect that it is apparently having on society.

Having glimpsed at the dust cover of a cultural studies book once, Keira is now holding court on what the era of digital communications means for us all and for society. She's looked at the fact that those in power are now more accountable to the electorate. She's looked at how information is now longer monopolised by the elite. She's looked at how online has created hundreds of thousands of jobs. And she thinks it stinks.

Here's what she had to say: "I hate the internet. I find it dehumanising to constantly check emails or social sites which have become so fashionable."

That's like calling for a ban on water because some people might not like ice cubes in their drink. And coming from Keira, that's a bit rich. Her incredibly "humanising" job, after all, is to pretend to be someone else so that her image can be recorded and projected onto a cinema screen. Ummm.

We can be sure, then, that Keira won't be reading this, so I guess we can say what we like about her. The pole-faced bore.
