Role Models - Out Jan 9

The passing of time has not been kind to Seann William Scott. At the age of 32, he's officially too old to play a teenager any more, which has left him not quite knowing what to do with himself: 'The Dukes of Hazzard', 'Southland Tales', 'Mr. Woodcock'... the list of cinematic filth goes on. Thank God then, for 'Role Models', in which he is entirely bearable.

After energy drink promoters Wheeler [Scott] and Danny [Paul Rudd, as amazing as ever] cause thousands of dollars' worth of damage to a public statue, they are ordered to complete 150 hours of public service in the form of a child mentorship program. 'Hilarity ensues' as the newly-appointed role models swear, fight, drink, etc. etc. etc.

It's not the most original comedy premise of all time and only about 50 percent of the plot is worth following, but what sets 'Role Models' apart from most of last year's comedies is that it actually contains elements of humour.

'INTERESTING' FACT: 2 of the 3 Seann William Scott films currently in production have anatomical jokes in their titles
